through days and nights of loving:

the heart holds court,

for children’s hopes and fears,

as mothered mind waits silent,

stands guard throughout the years:

the heart holds court

    Not quite a traditional rondelet, but then I did invite people to break the form … smiles
    The refrain here is really strong; it opens up a huge number of possibilities and has resulted in a memorable poem, Ros.

    this brought a lion mom to my mind..watching.. caring but then letting them play as well and find their own way.. mine have that age that they slowly take flight..a good thing..smiles
